Here and Now - Directed by Alex Beatty
Here's a look at some of the projects I worked on with Director Alex Beatty. The first film, "Here and Now" is the one that opened my eyes to how my health was truly deteriorating and inspired me to ask for help and take the first steps to build a healthy life.
What will be the moment that causes you to become "Ready for Change"? Only you know the answer to that question. When you reach that moment, ask for help, take it one step at a time, and remember....it's a journey you will travel on throughout your lifetime.
This film was written and directed by University of Alabama graduate and Cinematographer Alex Beatty. In the 2012 Campus MovieFest Film Festival at UA, it won Best Drama and went on to compete in the national competition in Hollywood, CA. It was featured for The Short Film Corner at Festival De Cannes 2012.

This film was directed by University of Alabama graduate and Cinematographer Alex Beatty. In the 2013 Campus MovieFest Film Festival at UA, it won Best Drama, Best Actor and Best Soundtrack. It was selected to compete at the national Campus MovieFest Festival in Hollywood, CA. "Rise" was the winner of Best Editing and nominated for Best Drama and Best Soundtrack in the national competition in Hollywood. It was an official selection for The Short Film Corner at Festival De Cannes 2013.
